I am back yes .... i actually tried to come back about a month about but i forgot my account details :( 

so much has happened over the past couple of months i am going to share soon.

but yes i am on the hunt again for a new job.... i did get a new role - but with the same company - its EVEN WORSE !!!!!

so yes i will be complaining once again haha.

silly people

Okay - so this is slightly a rant.....

I do not know how to majority of recruitment agencies get paid - i thought usually it is via when you get the job- they take a certain percentage of your salary from the company that has given you the role.

Well i am now thinking otherwise - could it also possibly be when they send you for an interview ??? if anyone knows this would be good.

Well earlier this week i received an email from a recruiter that i have spoken to before but i do not usually get anywhere with - there a bit lazy and pretty crap ( naming no names)

Well she basically emailed me and said i have role that has come up for you - could you let me know when this week you are free and we can go from there.

Firstly - she did not send me a job description - so i was like right okay.

emailed her back and said okay i do not mind going for an interview - But what is the job ? have you got a job description.

so from there she decided to email me 2 bullet points ???? 2 bullet points of something i did not understand.

I did not bother to reply - i thought to myself if you cant be bothered to send me a decent job description i am not going to bother either.

Well from there later in the day she decided to email me a time and day that she had booked me into  - And this time with a proper breakdown of the role.

This role is apparently something i do ? there was actually nothing on the job description i could relate to in any sense.

So i decide to email this lady back - "sorry but i don't think the role is for me i don't really understand the role at all looking at the job description "

so she emails me back - saying "oh can you phone me" - i called her and she basically made me feel so small  - she called me stupid and i was being dumb for not taking this opportunity.

So from there i said back to her - no i am not stupid - i don't understand why you are sending me for a job interview with a company i have been waiting for a role to come for a long time, I AM NOT GOING INTO AN INTERVIEW WITH A COMPANY LIKE THAT WHEN I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THE ROLE AND MAKING MYSELF LOOK STUPID IN THE INTERVIEW.

well she said i was stupid and she put in the email not to read the job description - i did not see this .

So from there the conversation ended.

If you are a recruiter is customer service not something you are trained in ?

Yes i understand the market is very competitive but what is the point in sending a candidate to a role they don't know ?

would it not be better to send them to something they can actually relate to and have the possible chance of getting the job.

With so many people being out of work these days - i don't think it helps with them being sent to interviews that are pretty pointless.

I would like to know your views on this people - I want to know and name the bad recruitment agencies and why ? was it a particular person that you was dealing with ?

I just think if we can get a list together this would actually help people back into work instead of going to a pointless recruitment agency - that is going to send you to a director role when your a cashier girl - no offense.

For the non workers ...

Okay ... So this is a tad of subject ... But I feel like there is something to be said here !!

And I hope you all agree !

So it has been in the press a lot recently about benefit cuts .. People not working blah blah blah !

Yes I work so the benefit cut does not affect me ..... BUT !

I think this actually needs to get broken down into points here so :

1) people who are sick - and no I'm talking about a flu and cold ect - I'm talking about people that have serve disabilities and mental health issues THAT are genuinely sick ! Why are we making these people suffer more then what they already are ?
Should we not be helping these people have better life's ... They are already bloody suffering CAMERON !!! If me and you was to get sick ... And we actually could not work ... Would we not want help ? Would we not want that little bit extra just to help our little life's a bit easier for ourselves ??? Ask yourself this ???

2) The people that actually do want to work but are finding it hard : Now why am I hearing these people being labeled as benefit scroungers ??? There not !!! There genuine people who want to work ! They are looking but actually can't find anything .... They go to the job centre and sign on ... The job centre are too busy to actually help people because the system is weak ! Why is there not a proper recruitment system in place ! To actually help people better themselves and back into work ??! Instead of !!! Go apply for a certain amount of jobs and see how it goes ??? Or bloody putting them into the pound shop and cheap labour ! I'm sorry but who actually wants to be a check out girl all there life ???? Just irritates me such much ! The job centre are meant to be their for people and advise them back into work ! I'm sorry but from what I have seen and herd ! They actually do NOTHING ! And we all know why that is !!! Because there is too many people out of work and they can't keep up with it ! If David Cameron actually pulled his finger out of his ass and done something with the job centre and made it a strong and sufficient system ! Somewhere people feel like they could turn to when there out of work ! This would not be a problem ! .... I know what your all going to say ... But the jobs are not their ??? Well the way I see things .. They are ... It's just the skills people lack for that job ... This is where the job centre could bring in extra training and skill building techniques to help yes HELP people find a new role ! And a better career !

3) The people that actually can't be bothered : now this makes me laugh so hard ! If someone cannot be bothered to work ... What are you going to do all your life ??? As much as I don't like my job ! And I hate getting up early ! I have financial commitments ! And I would get bloody bored sitting at home all day watching Jeremy Kyle ! ... Are these people ... Doing this because the system is weak ?! I have no idea on this ... Personally I don't understand how someone would not want a career ? Would you not like to have a good life ? Building a better future for yourself ? Building better relationships with people ?

I just don't get it !

I would love some comments on this one people ? On how you feel ?? Sorry it's a bit of track but i feel like i had to say something ... But I'm sure in some sense we can all relate to this some how !

The job site

Hey everyone :) sorry I haven't posted anything for a while been very busy !

I Know I have written something familiar .. But thought I would write about it in better detail for you all :) so before you moan ! No I'm not repeating myself :)

So the job sites ... We all use them right ?

Well I know I do when looking for a job instead of relying on a silly job agency ....that never come back to you ...

So a rankings list I have put together for you all :) :

1) indeed.co.uk - now this site everyone should be using ! Tell you why ... It's basically the google for all job searches .... You put in what position your looking for and it finds everything ... Even little sites you have never herd of ! So I would really recommend this ! :)

2) totaljobs.co.uk - now this was a complicated choice between this being number 2 or 3 .... But I would say 2 ! Reason being ! It's a very nice format very easy to use I can't complain about this site ... I have always used it !

3) reed.co.uk again this is a nice format ... Makes it easy to use and always gives a nice break down of the role :) oh and it tells you how many people have applied :)

4)secsinthecity.co.uk - I actually really like this site ... Nice colouring format ! Really easy to you ... But it would be nice to have a better breakdown of the job role ... So I know what I'm applying for !

4)Cvlibrary.co.uk - I must say ... This site is OK ! Nothing fantastic ! The website layout and the image of it ... Seems a bit 2nd hand shall we say ! But in defence of it all ! It's very popular for recruiters ! So as much as you may not like it ! I would suggest you use it !

NOW ! Two sites that actually worry me for job searches !

1) directgov the job search website they have ! - OMG I have never used something so complicated in all my life ! And the government is moaning why people aren't getting jobs ! I REALLY REALLY hope the job centre aren't telling people to use this site ! Otherwise they will never ever find a bloody job on that thing ! ... So you can find the role you want ! But it's constantly crashing and then when you get round to applying OMG ! How do you apply ?? Talk about confusing ! I found this quite offensive to the job seeking world ! So really don't use it ! You would have a better chance putting your cv through letter boxes !

2 ) Gumtree.co.uk - now this site Hmmmm honestly it's not the fact it's bad or anything ... It's incredibly basic ... But it's just the fact there's not enough jobs on there ... It needs an easier applying approach with a more professional format instead of what it has now ! But apart from that ! It's OK

So that's all my ranking done .. If you don't agree with any of them ... Please let me know why :)

Getting better

So my third post.......

So making yourself better I.e qualifications wise...

So I want to hear your view on this .. Would you say it's better to have a degree ect or experience in a certain area of profession ?

Personally from what I have herd it can go two ways ... I have friends with business management degrees ... Marketing ... And they haven't got very far ? Is this because they don't have experience ? Or have they put themselves into the wrong situation ?

But myself .. I didn't study for a degree .. But I am currently in a better situation then some people who have a degree ...

I have enrolled and have started my degree .... But I am doing this because its actually an area of interest and hopefully one day it shall better me ...

So what are your thoughts on this ?

Jobsites

Don't you just find them annoying !!!

Happy Monday !!! and Good morning to you all !

So today's rant is about Jobsites.

Argh they do my brain in ...... trying to search for that job you want so badly and you just cant find it ... because the website is full of adds and crashes *I.e monster.com *hint hint*

So today i decide to do some job searching ( well this morning ) and ive actually found that Apps - I.e for the mobile phone - are much better THAN THE WEBSITE !!!!!!!!

OMG - SPECIALLY CV LIBRARY

No offense to Cv library right - but the website looks a bit shall we say  - 2nd hand ?

But there app for the phone is excellent - and it actually does a really good word matching.

SO FOR ALL YOU PEOPLE LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB - MAKE SURE YOU DOWNLOAD THE APPS AS THESE REALLY DO HELP.

1. totaljobs - you have to go onto the website and save it as a bookmark - very like the website.
2. reed - same as total jobs really  - but its good

Just go through your app store and see what you can get :)

Finding that perfect job

So this is my first blog ... I will rant and rave at times
But I hope you enjoy it ....

So finding that perfect job ... This is a subject very close to my heart as at the moment I am currently employed thought I had found THE DREAM JOB but it turns out to be worse then the company before ... Which I didn't think was possible ...so I'm looking again...

I work in the property management area of things hopefully this will change one day !

Well so far I've had two interviews both very close to each other in time ... And NO I didn't get them which one I was pretty gutted about

What annoys me is the fact that you need to experience in certain areas to get these jobs ... But please tell me the obvious ! How am I meant to get experience if no one will give me the chance to ????!!!

Can anyone actually answer that question ?

How can I gain experience without being given the opportunity ?

I think with all the recent changes with the economy and so many people being jobless ... Should this not be a time that we give each other a chance ?

It's not the fact I don't have experience within this area but its one particular area I don't have experience in and that's FINANCE !

Because I don't have any financial experience on the property management side of the business ...people actually look down on you ??! What's that all about huh ???

I know this is all a rant and rave ... But I'm just trying to get my head around it all ...

Tell you something ... Recruitment agencies ... There is one particular recruitment agency ... I have spoken to in the past and they basically told me to get of there phone and stop wasting there time !! SORRY and you know this was by one of the recruitment directors for this agency ... Very well known agency I tell you ... Lets just say they have been blacklisted in my books haha !!! And I'm pretty sure they get paid to actually find you a job RIGHT !!!!

I have dealt with a lot of recruitment agencies so far and no luck ... But there are some good ones about ... Obviously depending on the area of work you are looking for .

Some of them phone you speak for ten minutes and you never hear from them again !!! Is that because they have nothing for you ? Or is it the fact that you have gone to the back of the pile and they have completely forgotten about you ? That's what I always think anyways ...

Some of them do call you now and again when they have something that totally don't match what your actually looking for WHICH really does make me laugh hard at them !

Some you email and they ignore you ... It's just irritating ... Is there actually a good recruitment company out there !!!??? Ones that phone you ? Ones that actually find you something ???

My current role was through an agency ... This woman at this agency OMG the amount of times I actually wanted to scream at her for being so dumb ... You know even the company that has hired me complained about this recruitment agency because they was far to slow on comes backs ... It took 3 weeks to come to a decision on pay ect ... It consisted of two phone calls and an email ... And it took her that long ... I know your busy love but come on ... I don't want to be waiting forever !!!

Anyhow for you people that are looking for a new job I wish you the best of luck and to my new readers ... There will be more so keep your eyes peeled !
